The Voladero International Film and Video Festival 2004 is calling upon Monterrey Based Filmmakers to participate in the CINE REGIOMONTANO RECIENTE showcase.

This selection will be made up of short films or segments of feature films under 30 minutes in length that have been produced by Monterrey filmmakers after January 01 2003. This is an exhibition only program and there will be no awards.

Participants may simultaneously register their films in the MAIN COMPETITION but they must do so by filling out the appropiate form and handing in all registration materials. It's not possible to register the same film in both sections of the festival with the same materials since they will be used simultaneously by different juries.

RULES:

1. All filmmakers based in Monterrey at least since january 2000, may participate.

2. Filmmakers must hand in a copy of their films on VHS or DVD, along with the following materials:

a) Proof of residence for the years 2000-2003
b) Filled and signed registration form. found here.
c) Three production or film stills in high quality digital JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 640 by 480 pixels.
d) Director's biography and filmography

3. Registration deadline is MAY 31 2004.

4. Filmmakers whose work is selected for the exhibition will be notified by the festifal in due time.

5. Films that have participated in this same exhibition in past editions of the festival are not eligible.

6. If his or her film is selected, the filmmaker agrees to provide a quality projection copy in 35mm, DV-Cam, Mini-DV or DVD.

7. Registration materials will not be returned.

8. The Voladero International Film and Video Festival reserves the right to use segments of selected films for promotional purposes.

9. The jury's decision is final. No other films may be included in the program after the selection is announced.

10. By applying, all entrants agree to these guidelines.
